Dear colleagues,
We are excited to share with you an opportunity to dive deep into pediatric radiology at the upcoming Baltic Congress of Radiology. This year’s congress features three dedicated sessions on pediatric radiology – Pediatric 1, Pediatric 2, and Pediatric 3 – that will cover a wide range of topics essential for anyone involved in the field.
What to Expect from the Pediatric Sessions
Join us in auditorium BETA 1, where we’ll explore topics such as acute abdominal and musculoskeletal pathologies in children, gynecological conditions, chronic non-bacterial osteomyelitis, cystic fibrosis, post-surgical cardiac changes, renal diseases, and more. The sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, October 18: 11:00-12:30
- Saturday, October 19: 08:30-10:00 & 10:30-12:00
For the full program, please explore the day programme – October 18th , October 19th .
Meet Our Esteemed Speakers
We are honored to host two renowned guest speakers:
- Dr. Martin Stenzel from Kinderkrankenhaus Amsterdamer Strasse in Cologne, Germany. He will share his expertise on pediatric abdominal emergencies and the crucial role of radiologists in diagnosing child abuse, which is particularly relevant due to the high incidence in Latvia.
- Dr. Bilal Sethi from Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital in Scotland. Dr. Sethi will present a compelling talk on CT scans in pediatric care, discussing when these scans are necessary and how evolving practices aim to minimize associated risks.
Exclusive Tour Opportunity
On the afternoon of October 19, you’ll also have the chance to tour the newly opened Ambulatory Health Center and Emergency Medical Center at the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. This will include a visit to the Diagnostic Radiology Department.
We look forward to welcoming you to the congress and sharing this invaluable knowledge and experience.
See you at BCR 2024!
